Tote Bin
Here is a simple bin you can make by re-purposing unwanted storage containers. A good size for a bin is 12" high x 16" deep x 24" long. This is about the size of a 53L bin. This size can process about 3 lbs of waste a week. As your worms multiply you can make more bins and increase the amount of waste you can recycle.
We recommend drilling holes in the upper portion of the bin for ventilation. You can also drill holes on the bottom of the bin for drainage. Place a piece of landscape fabric or other netting or fine screen to prevent the worms from crawling out and dying. You can place an extra lid or smaller bin underneath to catch any drips.
